IBM Funds University Collaboration Studies
By Kuertemaji IBM has provided grant funds to three universities are using the companys jazz collaboration solutions for software development. University - including at the University of California, the University of British Columbia and the University of Victoria - received grants from the Department of jazz IB M.

Jazz is an open solution, but it is not open-source software, which means that developers can see the code used to repair, but there is no change, and distribute the code. IBM is building jazz collaboration solutions into some other rational management and life cycle management products.

The United States at the University of California, jazz is used for development projects for developers using multiple monitors on the desktop. Researchers are studying how the design of software tools, the use of extra-curricular exhibition space.

The University of British Columbia, is using a new tool positioning expertise, as a platform for expansion into jazz. The tool can help team members to recommend a software development projects on the basis of their revised document, in the past collaborative efforts. In addition, the University of use IBM Rational team concerts, to build a real-world collaborative development environment in the classroom.

Victoria University is working with the contributors to recommend and the characteristics of understanding the functions of the expedition, jazz, a master of professional knowledge in a distributed team development process.

Three universities in the preparation of jazz presented their research in order to be in oopsla meeting in Montreal on October 24, 2007.
