NIH, Higher Ed Group Sign ID Management Agreement
United States National Institutes of Health signed an agreement, "Cross Federation," which will make some of Higher Education Department staff to use their existing network accounts to be approved by the United States Department of Health systems and services, such as content resources, training, and higher education mentoring.the transactions and various sectors of the NIH incommon identity management Federation (incommon) researchers no longer need to maintain multiple accounts and the protection of privacy of Internet users access to information on the NIH said.the agreements 60 Colleges participating researchers will use open-source single sign-on (SSO) technology into the National Institutes of Health online information and online resources. United States Department of Health Acting Chief Information Officer Jiekeqiongshi said the agreement to expand cooperation in the government and academic and research institutions. "We are very honoured to become the first federal agency to interfederate and respected institutions of higher education, and sponsoring partners incommon," he said. John krienke, business manager incommon Federation said that he hoped that the agreement will lead to the standard arrangements for the private co-operation opportunities. "We work with the United States Department of Health will create opportunities and privacy strengthen cooperation in order to become a standard platform for the management of shared resources," he said.incommon says its mission is to "production-level contacts to the end-user protection of a wide range of resources.
