The latest version of Microsofts full-time programme on electronic commerce has started beta testing, the company said this week. Microsoft Commerce Server, 2006 for the current final version in July.
Commerce Server 2006 goal is to lower the technical barriers to entry for customers to deploy e-commerce sites by simplifying their design and deployment.
For example, the new version will have the ability to link e-commerce sites to the existing line-of-business applications, as well as cooperation partners through Integration Microsofts BizTalk Server 2006 adapter and the array of available Microsoft BizTalk from vendors such as SAP and Oracle.
Commercial server in 2006 with the first site will be ready in advance deployment. The starter site is designed to provide a blueprint for building core e-commerce applications, including catalog browsing, searching, shopping cars in and check out functions, file management, and personalization.
