Microsoft Sues Lindows.com Inc.
Microsoft sued San Diego this month the company is developing software for lindowsos trademark infringement.

Lindows.com company is developing a distribution of Linux, is said to be similar to Windows and to the ghosts that will run Windows programs, such as Word and Excel.

Microsoft filed lawsuits and the federal court in Seattle, and that the name is too similar to windows. Lindows name will be "communicated to the consumer associations with Windows and unfair trade reputation and goodwill of a well-off [windows]," Microsoft said in its paper.

Obvious jokes aside what "goodwill" in the Windows Association may bring, lindows chairman and chief executive officer Michael Robertson told the Wall Street Journal that any alleged confusion is ridiculous. "No one, perhaps outside of the 600 lawyers said Microsoft, can be said with certainty that the people will face confusion," these two products, Robertson said.
