IBM Grants Mainframe to U Arkansas as Teaching Platform
IBM is to provide the University of Arkansas Walton College of Business into its system of IBM z900 mainframe and software in efforts to promote curriculum development on the mainframe hardware system in the technological upgrading of the College of mainframe courses to teach Skills can be learned on the IBM System Z, including open-source environment, such as Linux. Arkansas administrator said that this agreement will enable students to experience in the real world of business computing environment.
